“Very Nice!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 January 2012

We went during the week in January 2012. We had most of the resort to ourselves, and it was beautiful! Nothing beats swimming in the warm indoor outdoor pool with snow falling on the warm water. The rooms were very tastefully done, very clean and modern. My biggest (minor) complaint, was the drain in the locker room was slow. Other than that, it was a great time. The last night, a Friday, others started checking in and there was noise apparent from other rooms, but it did not last long.

Room Tip: Building 4 was very nice. Get a deluxe villa if possible.

I was a bit worried after reading the reviews. It served the purpose and was beyond my expectations. Not sure why the bad reviews we are accustomed to staying in 4 and 5 star hotels and thought this was great! Loved the scenery and the accomediations that were provided. Disregard the complaints some people just have to have something to complain about.

Mountain Loft is part of the Bluegreen Resorts timeshare network. We are Bluegreen owners and this is the first time we stayed at Mountain Loft. We normally stay at Laurel Crest in Pigeon Forge, but decided to change. We stayed in a one bedroom deluxe unit, which if you need a one bedroom is the way to go. The regular one bedrooms in both resorts are small, but if you will be out and about all day and evening it may work for you. I am not very familiar with the chalet one bedrooms.
The grounds at Mountain Loft are beautifully groomed and there was plenty of parking. The unit appeared to be fairly recently updated, and was clean. We had to get maintenance to come and light our fireplace, and they responded very quickly and were very courteous.
We went in late October as the leaves were changing. The views were spectacular of the mountains. We enjoyed out stay and plan on returning.

Room Tip: Choose the one bedroom deluxe if you need a one bedroom. It has more one than the standard one bedr...

We used a travel certificate from our management company and were put at this resort after another we had booked turned out to be overbooked. I was a little nervous after reading the reviews, but we had a great experiene. Every one we dealt with at the resort was very nice. We had a maintenance issue the first moring and the repair man was there within 30 minutes and took care of our problem. He was very nice as well. The indoor pool is a little small, but the weather was pretty nice and so the kids were able to swim outside as well. There is a hot tub both inside and outside which we were able to use in the same area as the pool. The pool wasn't crowded so the kids had a great time!

If you are going here thinking it's a 5 star then you will be disappointed. It is a resort in the mountains and overall quite nice. We stayed in a two bedroom chalet which was actually three bedrooms considering the loft which had 2 twin beds (loft looks over the FR so this may not work with little kids who go to bed early). There was plenty of space for my husband and I with our three kids and looked to be recently updated. The kitchen is very small, but since we were on vacation and not making 4 course meals we didn't care. We liked the fact that it was out of the way of the craziness of the downtown area yet not too far from the park.

We are bluegreen owners and the resort looked nice. Decor is up date, room is clean, definitely shows a little wear, but nothing extreme. However, we booked the standard one bedroom unit and it is TINY. There is no place to store your luggage, we left ours in the den. The "jacuzzi tub" was nothing more than a little jet tub. I think some of the other room have more traditional jazcuzis, but not the standard. Close to downtown and smoky mountain park. the donut friar in the village is a must visit, hard rock cafe was substandard. Nice place, would stay here again, but only in a larger room.

Room Tip: do not get a standard room, TOO small for 2 people if you have a suitcase.
