I created an account on this site (long-time reader, first time reviewing!) just to comment on our recent trip to Chalet Village, Gatlinburg... This was our first trip to the Smokies (my bf FREAKED over riding up the mountain! LOL), and it couldn't have been more enjoyable because of our accomodations. We stayed in 419 Creekside Serenade, and the location, views of the woods, and cabin itself seemed perfect. It had everything we needed (from the pool table to the BBQ grill & well-stocked kitchen) to have a wonderful time...

The only issue we had was that the scattered rain showers kept causing the breaker to shut off the hot tub, but maintenance was very prompt in responding, and was a very nice fellow who even showed the guys how to fix it in case it happened again (which it did). And even that was okay, since we just used the jacuzzi tubs in the bathroom instead!

We were pleased with the cabin's furnishings and decorations, and management was very nice about accepting our last-minute change to a late arrival check-in once we realized we'd be late getting there because of stormy weather (nice try, Hurricane Isaac!). I really can't say enough about Chalet Village, except that we feel our choice of a rental with them definitely enhanced our trip... Thank you guys so much - we look forward to returning again and again!!

My family and I have just returned from a very enjoyable vacation in the Smoky Mountains. We stayed in 872 Redemption through the Chalet Village. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. There are magnificent views of the mountains from the top deck (though the lower deck views are obstructed due to the trees). The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, etc., and everything worked, e.g. hottub, central air, etc.
We had a great time visiting the park, Cades Cove was especially beautiful, and we were thrilled to see a few black bear as well as a wild hog while there.
While we really enjoyed our trip to the Smokies. and loved the cabin we were staying in, I must mention that these cabins are far up in the mountains , and the drive up to them is not suitable for everyone. While we were there, a car drove off of one of the steep roads into a ravine. Traffic up to the cabins was blocked for hours. This happened in good weather during daylight. If you like to stay out late and have a few drinks at dinner, this may not be the best location for you.
However, if you want to relax in a beautiful mountain setting, I would highly recommend Chalet Village, and 872 Redemptiion to anyone considering a vacation in the Smokies.

We stayed at 860 Heaven Sent the second week of August. The staff for making the reservations were incredibly helpful on the phone. They helped us pick the right cabin for what we were looking for - and they delivered. After checking in at the office down the street from the cabin (note: take consideration of their working hours as they front desk will be closed for late check ins during the week), we arrived to our cabin. This was my first cabin experience and was nothing less than impressed. It had a great southern looking feel to it. The two story cabin had everything we needed. Full kitchen, roomy bedrooms, two great patios, soothing jacuzzis(2!) and just a fantastic view of the smokies from the back patio. The cabin is about a 5 minutes down to the crossroads of either Downtown Gatlinburg to the left or the Smoky Mountains the right. Everything about this place was perfect. I'd recommend to pass by Food City up the road before heading up to stock up on the needed supplies for your trip. The only thing that we had a small issue with was the outside grill not wanting to light up. However, within the hour of calling for service, Jackie the maintenance man came by and fixed it up. Last note is that you'll find that the living room TV has an issue with the volume going up and down. Its not their fault though - its an issue with that model of Samsung we discovered. Overall, this is a great place and we would not hesitate to stay there again in the future.

Room Tip: Call and ask for a room that meets your needs - either one with a view of the smokies or another that may be closer to the downtown area. Visit the website first to find one that looks to your liking. They have a lot!

We stayed at the Sage Mountain Lodge cabin in Chalet Village. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful cabin with some wonderful views of the mountains and just outside of Gatlinburg. This cabin's pictures online do not do it justice. This was our first time staying in a cabin with Chalet Village, after this wonderful stay I can't imagine ever booking a cabin from anyone else in the area.

This was a wonderful choice for a stay in Gatlinburg. We rented from Chalet Village and everything was exactly as they presented it on the website. This was a wonderful property.

Everything was clean and in working order including the view! We had a hard time packing up and leaving when it came time to go.

This place get 5 stars from my family.
