Great place to stay with family. We went with my our two little kids ( 5 and 8) and my elderly parents. Our friends came and joined us at another house with their two little kids. We went hiking everyday, enjoying the rivers and waterfalls. Great house. Very relaxing. Tastefully decorated. Great view to the mountains. We saw a huge black bear near our house last night. The restaurants nearby are okay. Texas Roadhouse is excellent. Avoid Calhoun's - bad/mediocre food.

Our coffee maker broke. The staff replaced it right away. Would definitely recommend this place.

Overall great time. Stayed at 932 Bare Necessities and loved it. View was great, cabin was nice, hot tub was used every night. Only one small, very small item was that a few of the bowls and plates did not get cleaned very well in teh dish washer and were out away dirty and we had to rewash them before dinner. Not a big deal, but somebody should of seen that when putting them away. It did not take away from our trip and we will stay with them again for sure.

This is about the 5th year we have booked a chalet through chalet village. It was a beautiful chalet with a beautiful view. It felt just like we were home with the chalet having anything you needed. What a beautiful view of Mount LeCante...We had a wonderful time!

My wife and our two children(4yrs and 6 months) just got back from this WONDERFUL cabin (1/23-1/30/11) and all I can say is WOW! We had a great time and the cabin itself was absolutley perfect. Chalet Village manages this cabin and does a super job! They were very nice and courteous and we will definitley be booking another stay this year (summer and winter) for many years to come. The cabin is so nice and literally new. Decor is very rustic , but yet has all the amenities that new homes have. The washer and dryer was nice because we didnt have to pack alot of clothing, just wash it and wear again. I wish I could own this cabin, if it was for sale, we would probably purchase it because it is that nice. Driving to the cabin is not a problem, it is about 10 min outside downtown Gatlinburg, and it is also buy a nice little park called Mills Park. The surrounding area is very clean and very safe. We never had a problem at all. Alot of people complain in other reviews about the ladybugs in the cabins. They are in every cabin in the state. There is no way to get rid of them. It was not a problem at all, trust me. Do yourself a favor and book with Chalet Village, they are great people to do business with. What would be REALLY cool is if you had some sort of discount for customers who stay and book another stay within say 90 days or so and get a discount off your stay or a repeat customer discount. People would jump all over that. I know we would if that was offered, I would book tomorrow. A++++

We stayed @ #439-Sage Mt. Lodge, a 2 bedroom chalet with wonderful decor and great beds! The view was absolutely awesome, and the home was just great for the two of us, would also be good if traveling with another couple. You basically have 2 king suites with full baths.
We only had a little trouble keeping the downstairs at the right temperature because all the heat rose to the bedroom suite upstairs. We used the fireplace every night, and really loved the view with all the snow. Chalet was easy to get to also....
Would recommend Chalet Village again and again, always clean and the service is great!
