The place has limited seating: Just a narrow counter against the front window with six metal stools. They probably do more take-out than dine-in business; however, they offer no delivery.

The menu is pretty much like that of most low-end Chinese places except that there is no pork and the food apparently is prepared in accordance with Islamic dietary rules. There is a mosque two streets away from here and the neighborhood has a lot of Muslim-run businesses and visitors. The counter where you order the food has two boxes for Mosque donations.

But, of course, you don't have to be Muslim to frequent this place.

I was here to do take out for lunch and ordered the sweet and sour chicken from the "All Day Special" section of the menu: For $7.50, in addition to the chicken, you get an egg roll, fried rice and a can of soda.

The chicken came in battered balls with the sauce "on the side" in a container. It was pretty good and a bit better than your average cheap Chinese place. The egg roll was very good and the highlight of the meal. I would have enjoyed the fried rice more if it didn't have so many stringy onion-like veggies in it.

I'm giving this place four stars since it is about as good as China Wok on the other side of 4th Avenue, and I gave China Wok four stars. If you are non-Muslim and want Cheap Chinese in this neighborhood, I say flip a coin to choose between this place and China Wok. Obviously, if you are Muslim, go with No Pork Halal. If you want the food delivered, you gotta go with China Wok.

I absolutely love this place, and make sure that it is among my first places to eat when I'm in Brooklyn. Where to start? First off, something as simple as fried chicken and french fries or fried rice (the beef fried rice is particularly good) is done to perfection. Their fried chicken is perfectly seasoned, with a hint of ginger that really hits the spot. They also have your typical Chinese-American fare, but I high recommend the curry fish and General Tso's chicken. For dessert, they have great bean pie (sounds worse than it is) and banana pudding. With food so good, it's no wonder why this place remains packed and other eateries that open within a block are closed within a few months.

Note: definitely don't go to this place expecting to sit down and eat, as there are only a few window seats available, which are almost always occupied.

Also, note that this place closes at 11PM most nights, which is a decent hour.

The place is really tiny pickup with only a few stools to the side. I dont blame them for being small but they could def have it well maintained.

The food was the main reason we were here. Got the small plate for cajun chicken with rice along with hot an sour soup. The hot and sour soup was in line with expectation , however the entree was medicore at best. The was all in lumps and not basmati as i expected. They had huge portion of veggies left with with the chicken as if nobody boters to chop them. The overall taste was ok at best. prefer indian chinese to this anyday
