Quick tour and very educational. This is a historic place to visit and should be required for everyone so we can understand what a great leader and great President should be like compared to today.

We (my husband, adult daughter and I) missed the last tour, but the video in the gift shop and the electronic guided tour gave us a lot of information. The narration is of Rose Kennedy, telling of life when her children were young. The kitchen from the 19-teens was very interesting, and other furnishings of the period (the telephone, for example) showed life of the time just before World War I, at least for a family of some financial means. The video reminded us of the greatness of JFK, but even though we knew that it was somewhat skewed to show the man and the era at its best, we still appreciated the man and his greatness.

Spend a nice mid day or early afternoon visiting JFKs birthplace and early childhood home. Rose Kennedy restored it as it were when they lived in the home. So amazing to walk the same halls and climb the same stairs as these famous people. Realizing your touching the same railings as JFK and his family once did connects you in a unique way. You can walk the wonderful neighborhood to see other interesting locations like the church the visited daily and a second home as the family grew in size.

Phil is a very informative tour guide. Not only did he know about the Kennedy’s, he knows about the Fitzgerald’s - Rose Kennedy’s Family. The birthplace of JFK hides in plain sight in this lovely neighborhood. A MUST visit and no charge for the 45 minute tour & short video.
Thank You

This was our second visit. Both times we took a friend from out-of-town. First of all, these are your tax dollars at work! Second, who doesn’t like the Kennedy’s? Even right-wingers might enjoy the history of some one-percenters. Different tour guides tell it differently, which keeps it fresh.

You go to the back door to sign in at the gift shop. Then you meet on the front porch for a 20 min tour. Then you go down a back staircase to see a short movie. Back in the gift shop are lots of fun items, many for kids. The whole experience is manageable and fun. We had no trouble parking on the street. NOTE: this is not an activity for the mobility impaired.
