The staff really went out of their way to stash my kayak--I had forgotten it wouldn't be safe on my car in a big city at night. The breakfast was charming way to meet others. We sat on sunny terrace, we were three generations and all of us enjoyed it. Games for the younger set and NYT with crossword for the seniors.

Nice place, super friendly staff, common areas were fantastic, room was just ok. Stayed only two nights. Was rainy & wet but we has a good time. Easy walk to main areas. We had fun.

Parking is additional but right next to door. I'd opt for bigger rooms next time.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to review our Inn! We are proud to have a staff that offers the warmest of welcomes to each guest that walks through the door! Winter in Boston can be wet and cold, so we invite all of our guests to curl up to the fire place in the living room with hot coffee or tea.

It's so good to hear you had a good time and we look forward to your next visit with us! We have three tiers of rooms, some of which offer more space to accommodate your party. Let us know your preferences when booking and we will get you into the most comfortable space!

Best Regards,
Skyler
Innkeeper

Charming old home, with warm friendly atmosphere. Staff are supportive and friendly. Bathrooms small and need updating, but are sufficient.
Breakfast has many options to get your day started right-with hot and cold options. Pastries are delicious!

Dearest Guest,

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us. We really appreciate honest feedback as it helps us improve our home. We are delighted to know that our staff was supportive and friendly, it is the hallmark of our service.

Our cook Irma has been with us for over 10 years and does a wonderful job of baking pastries - tea breads, scones, and other scrumptious treats. Her breakfast creations are prepared with love and I think it shows.

We have been so busy renovating the Inn across the street that we have missed some updating over here so thanks for the reminder. We will work on the bathrooms soon.

We look forward to seeing you another time either here or at our sister Inn, the Samuel Sewall, located directly across the street. It will be opening in 2017!

Kindest regards,
Dia
General Manager

We have been to Boston many times over the years. We have stayed at the Bertram multiple times. It is our FAVORITE place to stay when visiting Boston. The location is great for catching the train. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The rooms are wonderful and comfortable. We have stayed in summer and fall/winter. We enjoyed making having a nice fire in the fireplace in our room on a crisp night. The service is wonderful and the food is great. You can not go wrong staying here.

Just returned to my Re/Max office in Cranston after my 24 hr fast paced: Showing CT homes, Fashion event at Larz Anderson Auto Museum...& finally having a wonderful stay and fabulous breakfast at The Bertram Inn in Brookline MA...many thanks to the very attentive Innkeeper named
"Dia"....she patiently directed me to the Inn & took great care of all the details of my late arrival. The Inn is beautifully restored, 14 Beds, turn of the century with all the charm and detail you would expect, including the elegant breakfast with homemade breads, scones & croissants..a Special place and experience!!! Looking forward to my return trip!
