Tons of beer and meat. What could go wrong? So many great choices for beer, and then authentic Isles food to choose from. The waitress suggested the corn-beef and she was right. My friend got the meatloaf sliders which were also fantastic. Great place for lunch!

We have visit Molly's many times, and always delighted. Excellent meat pies and stews. Truly superior range of Scottish whiskys. Guinness and Tennent's Lager on tap!

We went here on Thanksgiving as it was one of the few places open in Savannah and on paper, the menu seemed promising.

We had fried green tomatoes and mac and cheese bites to start. The tomatoes were pretty greasy and there was no evidence of the advertised pickling. The mac and cheese bites were ok but consisted only of cheesy sauce in batter.

For mains, we had buffalo chicken flatbread and steak stew in Guinness. The stew was at a borderline passable temperature and was overly salty. The roll it came with was one of the worst examples of bread I've ever seen. Dense enough to have its own gravitational field and so doughy as to beggar belief that it was ever cooked. It had the texture of play-doh inside.

The flatbread was better - the chicken was cooked well and tasty but the flatbread was a bit stodgy and burnt at the edges. Clearly bread is not their thing.

The whisky menu was extensive but fairly expensive and after ordering one, the waitress took 10 minutes to come back to tell me they didn't have it. Don't put it on the menu then.

Service was inattentive - we had to call our waitress over more than once as there was no sign of her coming over to see if we needed anything else, while she stood at the bar twiddling her thumbs. The only time she came back quickly was after giving us the bill.

I don't understand all the glowing reviews of this place. Maybe a lot of people are bedazzled by the so-called Scottishness of it and ignore the average food. As Scots, we can say it's a bit of a mish-mash of Celtic tweeness, with as much Irish paraphernalia as anything else.

If you like Scotch whisky and have a big wallet then it'd be worth a visit. But don't go there expecting good food.

We had driven down from Charleston just to see and compare Savanah and Charleston as decided to grab a quick bit and compare the fried green tomatoes. While the ones here were good we decided the ones in Charleston were better. The Specialty drinks were good and refreshing and after spending only 2 hours in Savanah we drove back to Charleston. The downtown City of Savanah has a better walking, shopping and selection of restaurants than downtown Charleston so we will plan on spending a few more days there.

We finished a great tour with Savannah Heritage Tours and Angela dropped us off in the market area. After looking at multiple options we decided to give Molly MacPherson’s a try. It was a very good choice. Food was really good as was the service. Nice selection of food and drinks at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
