My wife and I stayed here for our 25th anniversary weekend and it was AMAZING!
The staff were all very polite and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated, quiet, and clean. The bedding was exceptional. We will be returning on our next trip to Savannah.

We have always walked past Ballastone when in Savannah and thought we’d like to stay there one day. We were finally able to and we were blown away. We felt like royalty in our beautiful room—we received a free upgrade to the Tea Olive—and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Breakfast was amazing, and we enjoyed the tea hour and hourderves as well. We hope to be back one day soon!

I had fairly high expectations before staying at Ballastone, and they were surpassed. The Ballastone was beautiful with all the comforts of home. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations on places to go or restaurant suggestions. The bedding was top notch (we stayed in the "Low Country" room #16). The breakfast was delicious and differs daily. The 4pm tea time exceeded my expectations and is probably what i miss most about returning home. They offer sherry at port in the evenings and the grounds a lovely. Note that there is street-side parking if you have a vehicle and the parking pass was about $25 for a 2-day pass. It is close to everything, well within walking distance. I thought we'd need to get a 2 day trolly pass to get around, but i'm glad we didn't order it ahead of time as we never would have used it. There are many restaurants nearby as well as a CVS incase you forget something like contact lens solution like I did. We will definitely stay again and can't wait until we have the time to do so!

Room Tip: Higher floors a likely quieter, but we were on the ground/terrace level floor which seemed the coolest.

We are so happy to hear that your stay surpassed your expectations! WE ARE THE ONLY INN IN Savannah with high tea with all the silver because of MY passion for antique silver….thank you for noticing and sharing!

Low Country, on our courtyard level, is such a lovely room with its brass bed and exposed brick. I also hope you enjoyed our ELEVATOR to help you travel around our beautiful inn. We are one of a few historic inns that provide an elevator for your convenience.

Sometimes the small details go unnoticed it is because of guests like yourself that we can get the word out!! We hope you will come back again very soon!

Sincerely,
Jennifer Salandi, owner

Beautiful stay in a serene elegant atmosphere. The staff at the Ballastone in are. amazing. At the front desk was very personable and knowledgeable of the area. Take time and enjoy the high tea in the afternoon at four. It was nice to step back and enjoy time without televisions cell phones and hectic pace of our day-to-day life. The bed and accommodations are very comfortable beautiful rooms Hallie appointed decorations and a delicious breakfast I would recommend always taking the chef special.
