Nice hotel if you don't need to be near the historic district. Nice rooms, small outdoor pool but heated, nice lobby and breakfast area. They had our key packs ready when we arrived around 8:30 pm. There was only one person at the front desk and she had a line of people waiting to check-in so was probably under stress. Not at all friendly and gave her information out to each guest like it was a recording. Did not give very good directions on the different elevators. Morning staff was very friendly and helpful.

Booked last minute. Very pleased.
Pros: very clean room/clean bathroom. Clean linens. Modern furnishings. Nice sized room and bathroom. Comfortable mattress and pillows. Free breakfast w/ waffles, eggs, bacon, cold cereals, bagels, coffee, juices, etc. Access to your floor/room directly from parking lot. No need to go through lobby with luggage or to exit hotel for outings. Secure hotel; cameras all around, but never saw any security guard type employees. Good, safe area near shopping and restaurants. Quick check-in, friendly staff, good housekeeping. Hot water that lasted for 3 occupants. Decent cable tv channels with YouTube. Free WiFi. Microwave and mini fridge in room. Paul Mitchell toiletries.

Cons: pricey $156/night on our stay Easter weekend. Plus $16/night to park. No views— strictly neighborhood/ business area. Noisy plumbing from upper floor/noisy neighbors due to thin walls— could hear tv and conversations. Tiny pool. Extremely small parking spaces. Bring your “A Game”, especially if you drive an SUV. Be prepared to fold your mirrors in and don’t cry if you get dinged. Not within walking distance of any of the historic district points of interest. Definitely not within walking distance of River Street. Short drive in a car through the historic district. Housekeeping will knock on your door as early as 8 a.m., so be prepared to put your “do not disturb” door hanger out each night. They are relentless unless you answer the door and inform them to come back later in the morning. Same thing on check-out day. Check-out is 11 a.m.

We chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The hotel is clean, up-to-date and their parking ramp is conveniently located to enter each floor of the hotel. The staff was pleasant. I used their laundry room which was, also, clean. The hotel was very busy on the weekend. In spite of the hungry crowd, the breakfast folks, including Tatiana and Katrina, were able to resupply each food station in a timely manner and with smiles on their faces. If you choose this hotel, please put the physical address in your GPS, as there are other Fairfield Inns and two are located on Abercorn Street. We recommend the Fairfield Midtown.

Free breakfast each morning helped get the day started. Katrina greeted me on day two of my stay, she remembered I like oatmeal for breakfast and even though the breakfast area was about to close for the morning, Katrina made sure I received a fresh bowl to get my day started. Katrina and the food staff even took time to exchange pleasant conversation with me and other guests about visiting Savannah.

The front desk staff was a disappointment. We were supposed to get a room change while we were out touring the City. The morning and evening staff did not communicate with each other about the room change, when we returned to the hotel that evening, our new room had been given to someone else.

The parking deck is very tight so if you have a large car, SUV or truck; it will be difficult to park. The parking spaces are very narrow.

Hotel location is not in the historic district but is still convenient to the historic district. Less then 10 minutes to get anywhere in the historic district by car.
