I checked in at a busy time. The check in was four lanes, 20 people deep. At every Starwood hotel there is a separate Gold and Platinum check in line. They did not have one that day and stated it was because they where busy. That line is a perk for loyalty. It is not a benefit when there are only two people in line. It's a benefit when there is a long line. The lobby was a mess. Glasses and beer bottles every where. Even if the hotel is busy and over run, there should have been staff circling to clean up consistently. The staff was matter of fact, not necessarily friendly. I finally got to the desk to check in at 7 pm only to be told it would be another hour before I could have a room. Unacceptable at that late hour and I had a baby than needed to sleep. There was no free water or internet like in other Starwood Hotels. Rooms becoming shabby. Hotel was noisy until about 11 pm.

Dear Valued Customer,

We at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel apologize that we failed to neither meet nor exceed your expectations. It is important to us that we leave a positive lasting impression with all of our guests, especially our Starwood Preferred Guest as you keep our brand strong. I am also disappointed in our performance as a property. We take pride in our team members and realize that we were not set up for success during your arrival period. In addition, we also have highlighted your feedback with the cleanliness aspect of the property and have already taken corrective action in improvement. Lastly, I was most bothered by the fact that you were not left with the impression that we are friendly, hospitable and service driven. We have and will continue to share this information with our associates and work on ways to raise the bar. This is our commitment and we would welcome your return so that we can provide with what we are capable of. Please feel free to contact the hotel at any time in the future when you would like to return or further discuss your experience. Thank you for your time and providing the Sheraton Baltimore City Center with an opportunity to improve.

Kind Regards,

Juan A Webster

The hotel rooms were worn and in general the feel of the hotel was just tired. AC did not work in room and area is not the best to be in at night. I would recommend staying at another SPG hotel and pay more money.

Got a great deal on priceline for 2 night stay on St Patrick's Day weekend. My wife's sister from Brazil was visiting with us for the month and we decided to go to Baltimore for a fun weekend out. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. When we checked in, they had us set up for a King bed. As tempting as that was, I asked if they had a room available with 2 beds. The guy at the front desk (I forget his name, sorry) upgraded us to a corner deluxe room, which was very spacious with two beds and lots of windows. The only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 out of 5 is because of the steep parking fee ($22 a day), which is normal for downtown in any city, and also you could hear a lot of noise coming from the street at night. Not located in the nicest part of town either, but still close to the harbor and power plant live, which is what we came for. All things considered, it was a great stay and I would hope to get this hotel again if bidding the Baltimore Inner Harbor area.

I recently spent two weeks at the Sheraton for business and though we had a lovely room and extremely friendly associates, we found that we had to ask several times for things to get done and concluded that the hotel was understaffed. However, we had the most wonderful housekeeper I've ever had in all my business travels. Tami Oglesby went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed, was always friendly and accomadating, and truly went above and beyond what her duties were to make our stay comfortable. Thank you to her a million times.

We were travelling with a group of 9 for a conference in Baltimore. Karen was extremely helpful when it came to booking the rooms and getting everything organized for our stay. The hotel was very nice and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back!
