Description: Esin has been a neighborhood jewel since opening in 1998. The name Esin is not only the name of one of the owners but also means “inspiration”. The food is the passion of Chef & Owners Curtis and Esin deCarion. They strive to create cuisine that is fresh, seasonal, and prepared with great care. The fare is American with bits of Mediterranean influences. The wine list has been recognized by Wine Spectator & Wine Enthusiast magazines. Esin Restaurant & Bar relocated in July of 2008 to the Newest upscale lifestyle center The Rose Garden in Danville. The freshly designed dining room offers warm and comforting tones. Be sure to save room for one of Esin’s fresh made desserts that have become so well known.

“You never get disappointed here”
Reviewed 26 March 2012

We celebrated a birthday lunch here. We three each ordered a different dish and we were not disappointed with all of them. Mine was Pasta with fish in a very light tomato sauce with shrimp, muscles, salmon, sea bass, and fresh tuna . all pieces of fish were a good size and the shrimp was peeled as well. I wanted to swipe my bread all over thee plate and clean it all....The pasta was made there...The birthday gal got choice of desert which was shared. We left full and happy. The bill was$ 72.00 and well worth it....

I have always enjoyed this restaurant even more so in it's more humble beginnings in previous location. Very over priced now

“Be sure to get a reservation!”
Reviewed 16 March 2012

When a friend dropped by, I had a sudden inspiration to go to Cafe Esin. It is nearby and I was recovering from a broken ankle. Mid-week, and at 5:30 pm, I never dreamed I would need a reservation. The staff was pleasant and found a table for us, as long as we vacated it by the time it was needed. As always, our meal was fantastic. Wonderful food, wonderful service, and great ambiance! (Now that they've relocated, parking is much easier, also, than the "original" spot in San Ramon.)

“Cafe Esin in Danville”
Reviewed 7 March 2012

This excellent restaurant is named for the owner's wife and serves an appreciative clientele from all over the Central Contra Costa area. Desserts are specialty items, and a friend of ours always orders two!
