As you head north on 34, you come across Half Pint Creamery in a fairly new building with its own parking lot. That makes it different from so many ice cream shops in Gettysburg, where parking is notoriously difficult. Unfortunately, their ice cream isn't much better, despite some favorable reviews.
I tried 4 kinds, but only bought two because the first two, Red Velvet Cake and Peach, had very little taste. The cold seemed to put any taste they might have into hibernation. I finally bought a pint each of White Chocolate Cherry, which featured ribbons of cherry and white chocolate chips. It's okay, but not great. The other, Chocolate Heartbreak, is much better with chunks of brownie in chocolate ice cream. At least, you can taste that.
Service was okay, and since we had the place to ourselves, the server had the time to give us tastes of the flavors we asked about. I'm still looking for some really tasty ice cream in Gettysburg. Maybe I'll find it before autumn.
