Gathered family at this wonderful historic home for my son's graduation. It could not have been better for our purposes. The house is on a peaceful and lovely tree lined sidestreet right in center city. Charming cobble alleyways lead to just about anything one could possible need. Restaurants and pubs too numerous to mention, many literally within steps of the front door. many attractions very nearby and a close subway stop for anything further afield. The neighborhood was very friendly. I noticed people on their way to work, dog walkers, joggers and mamas with strollers and young children.
The house itself has quite recently been lovingly and very tastefully restored to the perfect accommodation for a family, group, or couples who just prefer a homier and more private feel than one could find in a hotel. Extremely well maintained, with great attention to detail. If for some reason you didn't want to avail yourself of the many wonderful nearby eateries, the kitchen is fully equipped. The house is every bit as beautiful as it appears in the pictures if not more so. I especially enjoyed the walled patio and shout out to Square One Coffee literally a 2 min walk away. Oh wait don't forget...comfiest beds ever! Richie, our friendly host, made himself available by txt or call and responded pretty much instantly to any questions that came up. Trying to dream up another reason to come back soon. Highly recommend! Note: Because bedrooms are all upstairs this property would not work for persons with mobility issues.
