Visiting the Colonial Triangle (Jamestown, WIlliamsburg, Yorktown, VA) with friends found this gem right in Yorktown itself, and within walking distance to the Visitor Center. Reservations easy to make; very informative Web site; very reasonable rates.
Host David greeted us upon arrival; gave a tour of the accommodations; set up for a wine & cheese repast; had the fireplace going; all while regaling us with the history of the house and family.
Rooms spacious and very nicely decorated; nice sitting areas; linens and towels luxurious; beds very comfortable. Stayed in the Monument Suite, which has a porch that overlooks the Victory Monument and the York river.
Breakfast the next morning beyond expectations - OJ, coffee, tea, fruit, eggs benedict, and french toast. Ate so much we skipped lunch.
We will definitely return for a future stay!
