The hotel is situated very central to most of the places in NY, walkable to many, cab ride or subway to others.
The theme of the hotel is Art Deco and is pleasant. Our room was large and spacious. Bathroom great, though I still hadn't worked out how to master the 3 shower heads as we left!
Breakfast was provided as part of our deal, unusual for NY. You eat in the designated breakfast room/library. Lots of choice, though space was a bit limited. Tip to others though, you should remove your own plates and cups before leaving in the bins provided!
Roof terrace was great! Amazing views of the Empire State Building! The small bistro next door was nice as well, good food. There are a number of Asian restaurants on the same street.
Staff were cheerful and friendly. We were able to leave our luggage on the last day and the staff will readily offer tips on restaurants, shows etc. Plus there is free tea and coffee on offer 24/7 in the library!
Some say that the hotel doesnt matter when you are in NY as you are out a lot, that is true, but a pleasant base is great when you get back to relax!
