“Lovely Place!”
Reviewed 16 March 2012

The hotel is situated very central to most of the places in NY, walkable to many, cab ride or subway to others.
The theme of the hotel is Art Deco and is pleasant. Our room was large and spacious. Bathroom great, though I still hadn't worked out how to master the 3 shower heads as we left!

Breakfast was provided as part of our deal, unusual for NY. You eat in the designated breakfast room/library. Lots of choice, though space was a bit limited. Tip to others though, you should remove your own plates and cups before leaving in the bins provided!

Roof terrace was great! Amazing views of the Empire State Building! The small bistro next door was nice as well, good food. There are a number of Asian restaurants on the same street.

Staff were cheerful and friendly. We were able to leave our luggage on the last day and the staff will readily offer tips on restaurants, shows etc. Plus there is free tea and coffee on offer 24/7 in the library!

Some say that the hotel doesnt matter when you are in NY as you are out a lot, that is true, but a pleasant base is great when you get back to relax!

We work in the fashion industry and this hotel's location is perfect. It's walking distance to everything/everywhere we want to go. The subway station is at the end of the block in case you need to travel that way. It's a few blocks from Penn Station so you can catch a train straight to/from the airport. I love that there is 24 hour tea/coffee and juice in the lobby. My room was small but had everything I needed. One warning.....the shower was tiny so if you are large you may not fit. I'm not sure if this is the case in all the rooms as this was my first time staying here.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for the duration of 5nights/6days. It was remarkable. The staff are extremely helpful and informative. They cannot do enough for their guests. The hotel is beautifully decorated and peaceful music in the background helps you unwind after a long day in the city.
The location is perfect, with it being only 5 mins walk to times square and right at the doorstep of Macys and Victoria's secret. On our way to times square we would pass Bryant Park which is beautiful both during the day and night.
The hotel has several amazing facilities to offer it's guests. Each morning they have a free continental breakfast which saves you money that can be spent on shopping, there are free copies of the New York times each morning, the rooms have free high speed wifi and docking stations to charge your ipod which is very handy. The hotel itself offers free use of their gym and have a small but peaceful library area. There is a rooftop bar with great views of the city but bare in mind the bar only opens at certain times of the year however you can bring your drinks from the bar downstairs up to it. They also have a small business room with free use to their computers and printing services.
This hotel by far is not a typical tourist hotel in new york you expect to find, it is simply amazing! It will be, from now on the only hotel we will be staying at in any of our future trips to New York.

Room Tip: We found that our room was very peaceful at night and with little if any noise from outside coming i...

This is a great hotel, at a great price!

Now, the first thing that attracted us was the breakfast - hardly ANY hotels now include breakfast in their price, so this was a big bonus

The rooms were a reasonable size, and clean, tidy and well furnished. the only slight town-side was the shower was very complicated to use - queue many yelps from the bathroom as one of us accedentally sprayed ourself with ice-cold water!

The staff are helpfull, the roof terrace is great, the gym was small but well equipped

all in all, a great hotel!

My husband and I stayed here and loved it. It was very clean, comfortable and the decorating was beautiful. The front desk staff was friendly and professional. I did not meet them, but the cleaning staff has to be great because that room was spotless. The lobby was comfortable and the breakfast room was a nice bonus. The neighborhood is fun and the hotel is easily accessible to everything. Parking was discounted with the lot next door. We have already told friends about it and would stay here again.
