for a large hotel this hotel is very efficient and usually the rooms are very pleasant. Occasionally the rooms have been too hot, but the staff tries to fix that quickly. The staff is friendly and the door men are super. Restaurant, the National next door, and the deli are super and very convenient.

Have stayed at the Met before and decided to stay again for my last business trip. Good rates, quick and friendly service team, nice bar area and rooms are good. I was upgraded early on and stay on 19. My only complaint was a broken window latch and window would not stay shut. During the day didn't matter as I wasn't around but at night two issues... noise from the street and cold temperatures. But good thing for heat. Made mention to the team and I am sure it will be fixed for next guest. Also great location to some fantastic eateries in the area. Thanks to the Hilton DT team for another positive experience.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor for best sites.

Stayed for one night in February, 2015 on a biz trip.

The room is OK, service was decent. It's on an east side, so there're not many choices with subway lines. You can walk 10-15 mins to Grand Central Station, though.

I didn't like the bathtub wall, which was dark brown and dirty. My room seemed to have been renovated. I see this classified as "Luxury"... but no way it is. I still prefer Hilton Times Square to this one.

Dear Yo K:

It is hoped you had an overall pleasant stay. The hotel is centrally located at 51st Street and Lexington Avenue in midtown east to all the NYC has to offer.

The subway lines E, M and 6 are located right outside the hotel for an easy and convenient commute throughout the city. NYC's mass transit is a sophisticated system, in which all train and bus lines connect to bring you to your destination.

At times, you may want to avoid the wait time for mass transit and getting a taxi cab due to city traffic. In that, walking is a top mode of transportation in Manhattan as you can reach your destination faster. City attractions of Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Grand Central Station, St. Patrick's, Museum of Modern Art, Central Park, shopping on 5th Avenue and many places to eat are within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel.

Thank you for staying with us and being our guest.

Best regards,

Kim Ng, Guest Experience Manager

The hotel located in best location, just 1 minute to subway. Very close to Grand Central Terminal Station. Staff are great, room are spacious, no free wi-fi. I like toilet amenities. A good products. Room is clean.

Room Tip: try to find a good price from bidding website.

Food operation is clearly a weakness at this hotel. If you are looking for a hotel that has an restaurant service beyond buffet breakfast, this is not the place for you. No room service either. Might as well stay at a Hilton Garden Inn or Courtyard.

Dear Louis F:

We hope you had an overall pleasant stay. On premises, we have a breakfast restaurant that features buffet style or a la carte (waiter) service. Our bar lounge is also available in the evenings. Regrettably, room service is temporarily closed. Yet, there are many places nearby the hotel offering good food and delivery service. Thank you for staying with us.
