Last October, my gf and me stayed in the Hyatt for 4 days ans we loved it.

For starters we received an upgrade, and when we entered the room, IT WAS BIG. Only the view was not great we looked at another building, but hey you're surroundend by skyscrapers so I think it's normal. The guys at the conciërge desk helped us verry well so no complaints.

The location is super, you're on tiimes square in 5 minutes, and by taxy you're almost everywhere in 20 min.

I would certainly return to the NY Grand Hyatt, when we return to NY city.

Thank you tomdem!

It's always great to see a nice comment like yours, glad to hear you liked the room (and yes view in Manhattan is not an easy thing to get, being so centrally located and surrounded by skyscrapers like you said!)

Also thanks for appreciating our concierge service, I have forwarded them your nice feedback, they really are a very strong and knowledgable team, and they do a great job!

We look forward to having you back at the hotel in the future, I hope you will book with us again if you are coming back to New York!

Kind regards

Traveled for a spousal conference. I was shopping/exploring. We had great service from dial7 from the airport. The hotel location was wonderful. I walked in a different direction each day.
Hotel was OK. Rooms small but clean. Bathrooms smaller but clean. Shower didn't work but was fixed when I asked. Safe was locked on arrival..also fixed with a complaint. Bed comfortable. No fridge. No coffee. No newspaper (neither at the door or anywhere in the hotel). Internet charges really annoying. Hotel website advertises high speed wireless in room but they neglect to mention the $10/day charge. It is chintzy when the room charge is $500/night. Fitness room good.
Will find something different next visit.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for one night in mid November and had a fun time. The hotel is literally next door to Grand Central and couldn't be more convenient. The lobby is active and bustling and the hotel is quite large. They told us many of the rooms were being renovated but we didn't hear any noise. Our room was clean, had a king bed and was pretty small, but certainly functional and typical for a New York hotel. The bathroom hadn't been renovated yet but it was perfectly fine. I've stayed at the Westin and Renaissance in Times Square and this was comparable to those hotels.

We booked the room on Priceline, the same day, and paid $135 for the room. For that price, the hotel was fantastic. Some reviewers complained about the high prices and I can understand that, but if you can get it on Priceline, it's a bargain and quite nice. It is a very large hotel, but if you know that going in, you won't be disappointed.

Stayed at this wonderful hotel for four nights 27th Nov to 1st Dec could not have wished for more it was amazing the staff so helpful and nothing was to much trouble the check in was simple and efficient the staff tried their upmost to accomdate your every need so freindly and the lobby was amazing.Great location for getting around the city with Grand Central Station next door so Metro and buses nearby. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful as was concierge. The hotel staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful with our stay. They were very accommodating with holding our bags until we were leaving again for the airport and also very helpful with organising a cabs.
The hotel is on 42nd street, you can walk to anywhere from there, but it was also great to go next door to Grand Central station and hop on the Metro. This makes getting around so easy and really useful when you are tired and just want to get back to the hotel.
We did't miss a coffee maker or mini-bar in our room. There were some renovations taking place, but nothing to disturb our stay. It has to be the perfect location within the city.I could not reccomend this more highly go their you wont be dissapointed great location great room great hotel. I have to congratulate the management for their excellent running of this hotel we felt safe and cared for.
Just wanted to extend my thanks and appreciation to Silvia Zese i think your customer service is excellent Such a commitment to great customer service is to be commended thank you so much you are a credit to this hotel.

Lovely room with 2 double beds. Bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. No kettle in room which we could have done with, so take your own travel kettle. I'd read that the rooms were small - ours certainly wasn't.
Location was perfect. Right next to Central Terminal.
Tourist information woman (Susan) in foyer was horrible. She tried to bully us into buying tickets for shows (obviously on a commission!) when all we wanted was information on bus tours and the Statue of Liberty. She was so rude.
I would certainly book this hotel again.
