This apartment is in a great location in Chelsea. Around the corner and at the end of the block is 23rd st subway. There is a great grocery store on the way which Steve leaves instructions on how to find. The bed is very comfortable. The apartment is up approx 47 stairs so you might want to keep this in mind if you have very heavy luggage, or if you struggle with stairs. Steve was always in communication if we needed anything and the arrangements to pick the key up were very easy. I originally booked through booking.com and requested an amendment to my booking by 2 extra nights. This did not occur as booking.com did not advise Steve so we had to move for our last 2 nights stay. Luckily I had checked in with Steve so was able to plan in advance and we have booked into Candlewood Suites near Times Square for the last 2 nights.
This suited us (a couple) very well and was a perfect place to explore NYC from. Handy to subways and walking distance to much of what we were interested in - dealer galleries, the high-line, Whitney biennial, comedy clubs. Also good local wholefood shop on the corner.
Steve was a great host Apartment was close to all we wished to see this trip around Chelsea - clean light quiet and well presented. Fully recommend this nice apartment for a couple.
This lovely apartment was just as we expected. It was a beautiful, comfortable home base for our travels. We went to a couple of Brooklyn breweries, attended a dance at the Joyce Theater (a couple of blocks away) and had a superb Italian dinner at Chelsie Ristorante (across the street) before heading to the show. The weather was unbelievable, and we walked the High Line (a few blocks away) to the top, and then went to Hell's Kitchen flea market. There are so many things within walking distance, but of course the subway is always there if you wanted to explore more. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and well appointed, and we were not disappointed. It is always a little disconcerting to rent a place sight unseen, so we were relieved to see how nice this apartment was!
