I've loved this place for year. Whenever I visit NYC (twice a year) I will stop in. Now, a few years back, this location had a fire and was closed for some time. It is now open again, about seemingly about 4 times bigger than it was before, which is great, because it used to be tiny.
The food is genuinely delicious, cheap, homemade, and available 24 freaking hours a day. You can literally not beat it. Staff is genuinely friendly, even to gringos from Atlanta. I HIGHLY recommend the arepas as well as empanadas. The cuban arepa is killer.
