We thoroughly enjoyed our walk on the High Line. The architecture is stunning, the views are fantastic and the park is a breath of fresh air in the city.

A walkway that lifts you above the streets and provides a quieter and much nicer way to walk to (or from) Greenwich Village. Lots of seats for a rest and plenty of greenery.

What a wonderful place and such a great story of the locals saving this from demolition. Its peaceful and calm unlike most of the city. Would be great on a sunny day but unfortunately it was misty when we visited so the views weren't great.Make sure you explore the local area too as there are lots of lovely shops and restaurants.

This is such a great idea for the old railway track space. At the end of winter, there wasn't much in the way of greenery, just a few spring flowers here and there, but I can imagine it's a green oasis in the summer months. But it was very very busy when we walked along - quite hard to stop and take any photos, in fact - so don't expect any calm or peace!
