“a long walk, with nice views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2012

It’s different and having been to New York a couple of times am always looking for something to make each visit different. Be prepared to walk the length of an over ground line, pass some neighbourhoods and watch it change as you take in the views. There’s a Perspex panel where it overhangs the street and 8 lanes of traffic so you can take your photo as if you are floating above it which is cool

Not my personal must see, but different nonetheless!

“Too crowded”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

It's a nice idea, but on a nice day, its almost like time square it's so crowded with people. Not sure how you could fix something like this.

“Excellent piece of respite from the concrete jungle.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

This park is great, renovated from the old elevated train track in the Chelsea area of Manhattan. There are loungers to sunbathe and little snack carts and cafes. One thing is that you cannot take your bike up to the line, we tied ours downstairs on the street, as far as i remember they have a bike stop. Also the line is only 1 block north of the wonderful Chelsea Market, which is full of many interesting shops. Well worth checking out both places!!

“Interesting perspective”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

It was a beautiful day for a walk and a unique place. Gives a different outlook on the city. Wooden lounges and benches are scattered along the elevated path. Artwork on the sides of buildings, sculptures and unusual birdhouses provide interest.
