We stumbled on it by chance and it was a real delight. It was so like a typical small restaurant in France - excellent food, wonderful atmosphere. The server was very helpful. We had "brunch" food even though it was lunch time and it was perfect. There are good gluten-free options. I would go back if the opportunity arises and strongly recommend it. Large portions, good prices, good service. Great presentation with gourmet touches. Perfect.

This is a lovely [but small] restaurant with a terrific menu and excellent service. The seating is tight with a some tables on ground level and some upstairs in "back". Bathrooms are upstairs so this is not a fully accessible site if handicapped.
The lunch menu is diverse with lots of choices plus specials. A price fix for lunch is a solid deal - we enjoyed the meal and the dessert!

We went to a museum near by at lunch time, their restaurant was closed. We took the short walk hoping to find a place to eat and hit upon this restaurant. It is small with a decidedly French atmosphere, the service was very good. The food was excellent.cooked to order. I was longing for pancakes and had lovely pancakes with fresh blueberries and fruit and ice cream.
I was only sorry that it was a bit far from where we were staying. I would recommend this restaurant. The prices are good value.

I've been here several times and always love the warm atmosphere and quaint decor. The food is basic French and delicious. I've visited other French restaurants in and around the Upper East and West Side but this one is a favorite because it's unpretentious and feels neighborhood-y and comfortable. The lighting, small tables (a tad tight but what can you do -it's NYC!) and charm are delightful. The food is consistently satisfying and great wine choices!

A favorite on the Upper East Side. Diverse menu. Only had good experiences with staff and high quality food. Don't tell anyone else!
