WOW. The best feed we've had since arriving in NY. The food and service we're second to none.
Wait staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic.
Make it a "must do" on you're trip to NY
Wild Boar pasta and Arancini balls are awesome.

One of the best Italian places I've ever tried! Hubby had the ravioli and I had the lamb ragu. Omg so good. It's a small place with about 10 tables or so and just what we were looking for. Each meal was $11 for lunch and the portions were just enough not to be overfull. Service was fast and waiters very friendly. Can't wait to go back again!

Note - we did a Soho walking tour (free tours by foot) and a Greenwich walking tour. This restaurant was conveniently located so that we could do one tour, go for lunch and walk to the next tour.

Pros: Amazing food at a great price. Cons: Small and noisy space. As other reviewers have noted, this restaurant is really really small--like fewer than 10 tables small. And it is consequently really loud, particularly when restaurant staff play "New York New York" at high volume, which they did while we were waiting for our table. We almost abandoned our reservation because of that, but instead we asked for a table outside (there is room only for two tables of two), and we were able to talk and enjoy the terrific pasta. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. It was some of the best pasta I've had in ages. Service was a bit slow outside--I think that we were outside of the attention zone of the waitstaff--but nothing too egregious. All in all, I would absolutely return, with the caveat that if you want to have a quiet discussion with someone, this isn't the place.

First of all, Piccola Cucina is the kind of hole in the wall restaurant that you dream about stumbling upon. The food is amazing, better than many restaurants in Italy, the ambiance is cozy and the service is the best that I've had in NY. Our waitress, Yehudit, was the sweetest, most knowledgeable and just the best in general. I went there with 3 other friends and she recommended all of our dishes for us, some of them the specials of the day, and they were all superb. When it was time for dessert and we asked if they had tiramisiu she literally ran to the other location on Prince St. and brought us the most delicious tiramisu you could imagine. Take a chance and go here, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the food, and if you have Yehudit as your server then you'll be treated like VIPs.

Came here with my partner, most of the customers dining where Italian and speaking it which is fabulous as the locals know best ;) food came out very authentic and reasonably priced! great service also!!
