After a hectic morning in the Big Apple it was so nice to visit Tao for lunch. The ambiance was so relaxing and warm, I felt completely at ease the moment I walked in. The food was good. Try their plumb wine.

On entry the hostess was arrogant and irritating.... She may have thought she came a cress as consummate professional, but we thought she was rude and arrogant.... Not friendly at all.... The staff at the bar are making themselves too busy to say hi..... It's an image they project and it's getting old.... The food as always was very good.... But sometime the rotten service and arrogant staff will overtake the great food..... Not an enjoyable evening.

The restaurant is fabulous from the inside, its got a great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. The food was amazing and delicious but can get quite filling! The dumplings were the most delicious, they had a special of shrimp and chicken. Would definitely return to this restaurant, I would recommend booking a week in advance.

The TAO is one of the best Asian restaurants I’ve in a long time. If you find yourself in NYC its a must, and I wholly recommend the Miso Chilean Sea Bass its just amazing.

This is not a full review. That will happen when I take my family there. In the meantime, spent a couple of hours there at a private get together. Just drinks and appetizers. And the appetizers were grilled shrimp, chicken wings, sea bass, meatballs, fries I think (didn't have those), and spring rolls. Without exceptions, the appetizer were "the heck outta town" delicious. Wow. If those appetizers are a reflection of how good the entrees are, my mouth is already watering for our upcoming visit. Then came the desserts (check out the photos). Holy Smokes. Those massive chocolate dripped strawberries were so good - I think I had like 10. And those little cups of mousse - I could have eaten a dozen of those. So delicious. The service was great. The waiter was friendly, accommodating and they just kept the food coming. God bless em. Great food...
