I was very excited to go to this restaurant since I am a big fan of tapas. However, after a good 10 minutes we realized the place was closed. I asked an employee from a nearby store and he said it has been closed for a few months.

We ate here with our daughter , son-in-law and the wonderful couple who gave them refuge from Hurricane Sandy. We had a long table in the back that felt very private.
Food was interesting, even a bit quirky. Calamari was great, not chewy. Definitely worth trying. Our group ordered soup, salads and sandwiches. We were all happy with our choices.
Service was actually a bit slow, but we never felt pressed to leave. In fact, it was a wonderful, leisurely meal that lasted almost 2 hours.
The ceiling is massed with chandeliers from ABC Carpet which adds visual interest and a charming view. One of Pipa's entrances is through ABC Carpet. Be sure to tour ABC, also.
Be sure to include this on your list of musts. We would definitely go again, even with the limitless choices in Manhattan.

Would go again. Good service, good food and good value. Nice atmosphere and attentive staff. With so many places to eat in NYC the competition is intense this one will not disappoint.

Attached to the ABC Home store this is an atmospheric tapas restaurant. Can be very busy and you need to book but we went on a quiet lunch time which i enjoyed a lot more. Organic chicken on the menu which for me is brilliant as you do not see this in many places. Food is really delicious and service is great, free wifi. prices not outrageous.

Food is good, but when we sat down they told us they needed the table in 2 hours. Wish they had told us that when we made the reservation---would've made plans elsewhere. They actually refused to serve us more food at 1 hour and 50 minutes. Talk about leaving with a bad impression. They should rename it all the sangria and tapas u can eat until they boot you because they double-booked. Wouldn't be so bad if the other large tables next to us we're being offered the dessert menu.
I must add that the management took it upon theirselves to cancel the rest of our order for staying beyond our "allotted time." And they also took it upon themselves to put a 20% service charge on the menu. Was planning on two stars before they cancelled our orders and wish I could give a 0 star review
