We enjoyed a delicious lunch at this upper east side restaurant. The large mezze platter offered a nice sampling of typical Turkish delights-hummus, tabouli, eggplant, yogurt, etc. The octopus salad was tender and fresh tasting.

The service was fine, but the hostess' attitude certainly didn't match the charm of the the decor.

We'd definitely come back again for lunch.

This was our first experience in a traditional Turkish restaurant and I was very pleased. The Mezze (appetizers) were really good and a nice way to lead into the seafood meal we ordered. The beer selection is quite limited, as they had only Stella and a similar Turkish lager (I can't remember the name). They did, however, have a pretty good wine selection.
The wait staff was very professional, pleasant, and timely. Surprisingly we were seated immediately! Very good experience!

The atmosphere is quite nice on the fall evening we were there. Tight environment, but its NYC, but not to cramped. We had a great location, the doors at our back, which were open, so not as confined as against a wall. The restaurant had a energetic buzz about it, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The service was a bit slow, not miserably slow, just slightly annoyingly and when your with someone you enjoy being with it's not really as annoying as all that. The good company combined with the good food at comfortable prices made this place a definate place I will fall back on when on the Upper East Side. We shared a Meze platter and a meat platter with lamb, chicken and meatballs which were very good. The lamb may have been a little fatty but thats where the flavor is;) . We both left full and satisfied.

The restaurant was a total disappointment in all 3 dishes we ordered. The service could also improve greatly: I asked for some extra lemons, and it took 15+ min to get them and I had to ask 3x. If you want good Turkish food go to The Turkish Kitchen.

The place is fun, with very nice serving staff, and really good food. They serve mostly Turkish, Greek and Middle Eastern food. So, you need to like this type of food to enjoy the restaurant.

We ate outside, which is a nice setting for this quiet part of Manhattan near 80th and Third Avenue.

Five of us began with sharing the restaurant's large multi-appetizer platter. It was excellent with a great assortment of Middle Eastern dips and other items. I then had their shrimp special as my main course and it was fabulous. We then shared a couple of desserts with Turkish coffee and tea. All were very tasty.

For a reasonably priced restaurant with good Middle Eastern fare in Manhattan upper east side , I would recommend this place.
