We stumbled across this place while we were escaping from the rain. It doesn’t look like much, just a basic diner, but I had an open mind. My first issue was when three members of my party ordered root beer floats, and the server turned around a and loudly exclaimed to a co-worker his annoyance at having to make them. I am a waitress myself and appreciate it can be irritating to prepare an item that requires effort, but I would never make it known in front of customers. I then ordered the pepperoni pizza, which I couldn’t finish. There was too much cheese and oil and after a few slices it wasn’t appetising at all. However the rest of my party enjoyed their meals. Then when we came to pay, the waitress operating the till didn’t even look up at us and was frankly rather rude. Leaving a sour stain on an already sub-par meal.

We visited with a group of 4 and the decor was classic, the food was good and the staff are friendly. I would recommend the chicken burger and the root beer float

My Carne Frittata was very good - it had plenty of meat and, with home fries and toast, it was actually too big. My wife had a waffle, which was so ordinary that it probably came from a box. If you like turkey bacon, DO NOT ORDER it here. It looked like a factory product and was dry and tasteless - basically awful. Service was fine, coffee was OK, prices are high (but this is Manhattan, after all).

We liked this place so much we had breakfast and then went back for lunch. The highlight was probably the waffles and the Nutella pancakes. For lunch the mac and cheese were awesome and the grilled cheese and ham sandwich #loved it xxx

Best breakfast we had in New York - came back twice for breakfast and once for late lunch. We tried omelettes, pancakes, bagel with lox and cream cheese, a burger, philly sandwich - everything good. Notice if they add gratuity to the check, we tried both with or without...
