My daughter and I arrived at the Hampton Inn Manhattan Grand Central after a travel day consisting of one disaster after another. Our flight had been rerouted, we had a terrible experience at the airport, and were basically gouged by the taxi driver who took us to the hotel. We arrived frustrated and haggard. We were greeted by the most upbeat, welcoming person--Dashanda Cheatham. Ms. Cheatham was so kind, listened to our horrible story, and was able to find us an upgraded room with a balcony. Her service was top notch! She remembered us later that night when we returned from sightseeing and greeted us again. I have stayed in NYC a number of times, but I have never had such amazing service. Also, the room is very comfortable, the breakfast was yummy, and this hotel is convenient to EVERYTHING in Manhattan. Thank you, Ms. Cheatham and Hampton Inn!

Room was nice. Breakfast was good and had a nice variety of things offered. Nice location. Located about 15-20 minutes from the Times Square area. Could easily walk to it or walk to Grand Central Station and take the subway.

Easy to explore New York. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plastic cutlery and plates and dishes to use at breakfast was its downfall, made you feel cheap, tacky and uncomfortable!! A big shame. Does not take much for proper cutlery , plates and dishes!

Very near the Grand Central Terminal with easy access to the subway. Lots of groceries nearby and it's possible to do a lot of things on foot from the hotel. Nice to have cookies in the reception and coffee served all day long! The room is small though, but it was clean and comfortable.

The staff were very courteous, the breakfast provided a variety from which to choose. The room were well kept and the location was very central to my needs. I would stay at this hotel gain in the future.
