Before we get to the coffee, always try the thali if you’ve never tried it before. Over here they come with rice and bread along with the multitude of curries. Although known as lunch Thaalis, they are available past lunch well into 4pm which is when I visited this joint. I was craving for some poori, so got a 2 piece along with potato and korma sides and finished it off with the renowned madras filter coffee. Now, in the US they don’t serve coffees with sugar, so make sure you add it. Then pour from the cup into the base back and forth for a while and try to keep it foamy at the top. Voila! Now you have mastered the art of eating South Indian dishes right. Oh, cutlery is for the weak here.
