Kevin was knowledgable, engaging, informative and made the tour (despite an extremely windy and chilly morning) absolutely worth attending! I am a New Yorker but wanted to know more about the history of the city and so decided to give this tour a shot. Kevin told us soooo many facts that I had no idea of even after having lived in Manhattan for all these years.. this tour is for visitors and locals alike. Go for it I say.

My husband and I took the private Gilded Age Tour led by Kevin along Fifth Avenue. Kevin was so knowledgeable and interesting! He included stories with the history and pointed out architecture along the way. We traveled from The Ritz to 89th Street passing The Frick Collection, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Knickerbocker among so many other places. This walking tour was so much fun! We would recommend it to anyone who loves history, architecture, interesting/unbelievable stories or just wants to enjoy a great time walking through the "most expensive zip code"!

We had another fantastic walking tour with Kevin Draper this week. Kevin has a great way of weaving history with architecture and interesting vignettes of the characters of the gilded age. Even though we grew up in the New York area, we never understood how much the “robber barrons” shaped the city to be the cultural Mecca it is today. We would highly recommend you take this tour!

We just had a fantastic 2 hour private tour with Kevin. It was very informative and he hit all the spots we were interested in. He explained many points about the American Revolution as well as the founding of lower Manhattan as well as Alexander Hamilton. Will definitely look him up next time we are in town.

Kevin (founder and owner) is a historian with an encyclopedic knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, New York City history. We did a combination "lower Manhattan" and "Hamilton" tour with Kevin. Although we have both read a great deal about both subjects, we learned a great deal we didn't know from a passionate and very personable guide. We polan do do other of his tours on our next trip!

Kevin took us on the Alexander Hamilton and the Founding Fathers tour yesterday. He was full of information and could answer any question we threw at him. Wonderful for tourists and locals. 10/10 would recommend.

My husband and I live in NYC in Lower Manhattan. But we decided that we wanted to be tourists in our own city for the day, so we booked the Alexander Hamilton and the Founding Fathers tour. Kevin was our guide and boy - what a fantastic tour! Really fun, informative, and Kevin is really engaging.

Next time I have family/friends in town I won't hesistate to do this again.

We are New Yorkers and were looking for a more in-depth walking tour than the average tourist drive-by. Enter Ken and the Gilded Age walking tour from Plaza hotel up 5th Ave to Cooper Hewitt museum on 90th street. Our guide new intimate details of NYC and those who built it in the 18th and 19th centuries. From Astors to Waldorfs and their mansions, he covered it all. The 2-hour tour ran long because Ken was so engaged in his subject matter. No complaints here! (Caution: not for those looking for hop on, hop off trivia or Trump Tower stops).

Attended the Gilded Age Tour with Kevin as our guide for my mother's birthday (big gilded age fan). The entire family loved the tour. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Gladly answered every single question anyone in the group asked. We will certainly be attending other tours by the company and be requesting Kevin.
