Our travel agent suggested the Urban Adventure All Day tour and we chose to do it on our first day in New York of our 6 day visit. What a great decision! The All day tour turned out to be 3 of the Urban Adventures rolled into one and we had a ball. Best way to start our visit to NYC.
We started with a group of 9 with Olivia as our Tour guide on the Tastes and Tenements Tour. It was everything it was described in the promo. Just a great way to spend our first morning in NYC learning about the history of immigration and filling our bellies slowly with a variety of great food samples that we would never have otherwise tasted. As our our fellow group members finished up their tour Olivia saw us onto the subway (while giving great tips about getting tickets to Broadway musicals) with instructions to meet Jenny at Grand Central under the clock! We were Jenny's only customers for the Mid Town tour so we had her personal attention for the next 3 hours. Best Coffee of the trip as well as Pizza, Sandwich and Doughnut and great historical perspectives and advice about what else to do during our time in NYC. Before we knew it Jenny was delivering us to our Cocktail tour of the prohibition district where Jess took over as our tour guide and we joined a lovely small group of 5 others for a fun evening of cocktail tasting with an original hot dog thrown in and some great little snacks. again, there is no way we would have even gone to this district let alone gone into these historic bars and tried these iconic drinks.
We loved the day so much we booked another tour on the spot and 3 days later we found ourselves as Alex's only customers on the Brooklyn food tour. This time we were prepared and purchased the occasional food samples as we wandered the magnificent streets of Brooklyn. Sourdough and Gouda Cheese for breakfast the next 2 mornings and some Brooklyn Lager and Salted Taffy as presents to take home.
Thankyou Urban Adventures! We will recommend you to anyone we know visiting NYC!
