Having been schlepping around Times Square in particular and lower Manhattan in general for about five hours, my wife and I were in need of a brief refuelling break. So we headed for Europa Cafe on Broadway (there'a another one nearby, apparently).

As it was mid-afternoon, we only had hot drinks and cheesecake. The tea was good (how hard is it to make tea, though?), but the cappucino was mostly mmilk foam and very little actual liquid. However, the cheesecake (blueberry) was excellent - a proper New York delight!!

8/10 for the tea (I shouldn't have to ask for milk!), 5/10 for the cappucino, 10/10 for the cheesecake - and 7/10 for the restroom, as it was obviously well used but didn't seem to have enough replenishment and cleaning (nothing nasty, but it could have been better).

If you're in the vicinity, visit!!

To be able to get a freshly made salad and home made soup, pasta, freshly made sandwiches for 2 for under 20.00 in NYC. It’s a miracle. Friendly staff, pick your type of lettuce and add on what you want, pick your dressing and someone mixes it for you. Great fresh pasta, loads of choices. Also a great place to get a cup of coffee and a treat at the end of the night. Clean and fast service. Not fancy but good food.

Excellent start to a fabulous visit to the BIG Apple! The best coffee in town! Crepes are fabulous, my husband had the very and cream while I had the spinach feta and mushroom- yum! We came back the second day and found that the All-American breakfast and the other breakfast options are equally as tantalizing!
The location is perfect across from the Carnegie Hall and the people watching has been delightful
The service is so European busy yet they allow you to enjoy your space continually offering terrific coffee and orange juice on request!

This was a cute , clean and convenient cafe ., that sold everything. I had tea and a sandwich and my partner , he had a whole meal . He enjoyed the Penne w/Garlic Alfredo. They have a staff that is prompt and attentive . I highly recommend this place if you're walking around in the city and would like something quick, but cooked ., as well as a quick hot or cold meal that's delicious too .

First impressions, aircon is poor compared to other establishments, the ceiling fans just move the warm air about. The staff seem to be in a hurry to get you in and out again. The children's menu is lacking. This is either a lack of imagination or an intention to get you to pay for an adults portion.

Pricing seems average for NY which is generally over-priced anyway. 9 bucks for a bottle of beer is daylight robbery but again average for the location! The beer could have been colder.

The food came quickly and only one of the orders of the 8 in our party was slightly incorrect and that was quickly replaced. The food was good, very tasty and the side salad was a triumph.

I'm not sure I would go out of my way to come back but it was a nice lunch.
