No faults to be found with this hotel. Fantastic location, fantastic service and fantastic rooms - loved the exposed brick! We walked to everything from here - Broadway is just around the corner as is Times Square. It is in Restaurant Row, so you are literally surrounded by great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again, loved everything about it.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for four nights in early June. It’s a lovely hotel/guest house only one block from Times Square. Having flown into JFK we took the air train to Howard beech and then the underground to a block away from the hotel. It’s only $7.75 each.

We had a small room with the ensuite situated to the rear of the hotel. We were made aware at the time of booking about the potential noise from the bar to our room. We stayed Thursday to Monday and the only night the music was noticeable was on the Friday night, but it did not stop me sleeping.
The room was very clean with coffee machine, fridge, stove and lovely bathroom.

The continental breakfast was plentiful and the late lunch we had in the bar was very nice and well priced.

Empire states, The Rockefeller Centre, Central Park and many other places are within a 1 mile walk.
You will need a taxi or tube to get to 9/11 memorial, Statue of Liberty etc.

If you like to stay at a place with some character, with a family feel and are not bothered about a chained hotel, and do not want to pay hundreds of more dollars to be close to the centre of New York, then this is a great place to stay.

I would definitely recommend The French Quarter.

We loved the French Quarters guest apartments! We booked a two bedroom suite on the 5th floor with an unbelievable balcony and spectacular views. Very comfortable beds, truly lovely & helpful staff, and an amazing location just blocks from Times Square. Many restaurants are just steps away. This isn't the sort of hotel you lounge in the lobby...why waste precious NYC space on a lobby?? Our room felt like we were renting out someone’s flat, but with the bonus of great housekeeping. I can't imagine a more authentic way to stay in NYC.

Great hotel! Just a couple hundred meters from times square. Very good breakfast for the money! The staff was very good and kind. Really recommend this hotel to everyone. We stayed here 4 nights and we really enjoyed the stay.

This is a great property! The rooms are charming, the staff is extremely helpful, the breakfast is great and location is awesome. I will always stay here when I visit New York! The hotel is really close to time square, yet there are some great restaurants on the same street as the hotel. Enjoy!
