Decided to order Chinese take-out after a show (which ended ~10pm) from this place since it opens late (11pm). The show was across the street. Ordered “Sichuan Manor Fried Rice” - very good, “Beef Fried Chow Fun (wide noodles)” - noodle was all broken up in pieces & a bit on the bland side, “Crab Meat Soup with Asparagus” - used real crab meat and soup was tasty. Took about 15 minutes for order to be complete so it was pretty quick. Place was somewhat busy for ~10pm. Would go back again.

Dropped in for dinner for (hopefully) some decent Chinese food. Ordered steamed dumplings to start and two main dishes. Starters would take 10 minutes to prepare - no problem. Two main courses came separate so my wife was finished eating before my order came. Not acceptable! Smoked duck was terrible. Too dry and barely edible. I would not recommend this place at all.

Tried Sichuan Manor for lunch because it was near theater. It is a new restaurant which still needs some ironing out. They have a lunch special during the week with good prices. Their dinner menu is expensive. Service was friendly and good. Spicy dishes were not too too spicy and portions were good. I was tempted to give it a 2 because the brown rice that came out was hard and dry. Seemed to be left over and had to be sent back. Ordered fried rice instead which was fine. The bathroom had no toilet paper and the alley you need to walk though to get in could use some sprucing up. It was explained that they couold not open the front doors in the winter because of the cold.

Recently opened. The place looked suspicious with questionable signage. The beer taps didn’t work. Not sure whether they had the ingredients to make a Cosmo. They posted a closing time of 11:00, but the kitchen closed at 10:30.

Normally they would be ranked 2 for this.

BUT,

The food was great. Served hot. Well presented with excellent flavor. Each dish ample for 2 people. Better than average fried rice. Superior General Yao’s that was both crunchy and sweet. The beans and eggplant wonderful.

And we were able to serve four big eaters for around $80, compared with $150 for most NYZ places.

I would return.

Seems to be a newly opened restaurant, however with some good ambitions.
for start we ordered dumplings in chili oil and springrolls, both was possible to improve in taste, they did not spice up the dumplings (would have been easy with some ginger/garlic) or even cilantro, same goes for the springrolls, great bite but lack taste.
we did order Kung Pau and giant shrimps with lemon sauce, and this was actually really good !!
