On a sunny spring Sunday this compact park was full of people and their pets. An amateur orchestra with no less than three trombones provided musical entertainment. More heart than talent, but it sure contributed to the festive atmosphere. Not a park for quiet reflection or strolls, but a place to meet people--or just watch them and marvel at the diversity on display.

We traveled here on our way through Greenwich village to see the Iconic arch. It was as beautiful as it is in the movies. A nice neighborhood park with a nice photo stop.

We stumbled upon this and were pleasantly surprised. It's a busy square and gardens - buskers down both ends, an anti-trump activist stall selling badges etc and lots of people enjoying the sun on their lunch breaks. You can also play chess with the guys there.

Oh, and take a short walk to see the Washington Mews - they used to be stables for the rich people, now converted into a cobblestone lane of small cottages.

Nice to visit.

Great place to visit. There are a lot of benches to sit on with friends, family or by yourself. There was even some playing music in the park.
A nice place to sit and soak in the sun and has a nice atmosphere.
There is a small dog park inside the park.

A great place for a picnic with friends, people watching, enjoying the free entertainment or just sitting on a park bench reading a book. The blossom is so beautiful in Spring.
