Owner description: Enormous 13th-century-style Gothic church on Madison Avenue, with a seating capacity of 2,200, rose window reaching 26 feet across, pipe organ with more than 7,380 pipes and the graceful twin spires that reach 330 feet into the sky.

We walked by on Easter Sunday...huge crowds all about. Came back two days later and went inside....so beautiful, windows gorgeous. One doesn't need to be religious to appreciate the grandeur and amazing architecture of this house of worship. Be sure to be respectful while indoors as it is a working church with many a worshiper in attendance. This cathedral is stunning and worth a visit

This cathedral is absolutely beautiful!
For those wondering, no, you do not pay an entry fee although donations are always appreciated.
Whether or not you're catholic it is a nice, peaceful place to visit.
This stop can be reasonably quick or you can take your time and sit inside to pray or think. If the sound of visitors are too much, there is also a separate area for you to pray in that is very quite .

Went for Sunday mass and also during Easter Holy Week, the Cathedral is well preserved, also lots of historical statue. Love the architecture, will definitely come back

What a wonderful experience, beautiful church. We are Catholic but you don't have to be Catholic to enjoy this beautiful church. I would return in a heartbeat. If you go behind the main alter, they have another smaller church where they hold mass during the day. This is nice so that mass isn't interrupted with all the visitors coming in and out just to see the inside of the church. Our trip was in Dec 2016
