We stayed here in spring of 2017 and it was so nice, we stayed again on our next visit in spring 2018. A short walk from Penn Station, and it is right next to the Herald Square subway station. The hotel is updated and clean. Nice breakfast selections and the staff are all very friendly and helpful with directions. We store bags on arrival and departure day which is easy and a great benefit. We will stay here again on our next visit!

This property is close to Herald Square but fairly quiet. Easy walk to Times Square, Bryant Park, 5th Ave and subway to downtown. Breakfast was convenient with a variety of options. Rooms are small but comfortable.

Very good value proposition for the accommodations as well as the location. Like many hotels in this area the layout of the floors is quite tight, not that many rooms and corner rooms have one another's doors almost up against each other, but once inside the rooms the space is very well used. The elevator capacity seemed quite adequate even at checkout time (unless one breaks down, I suppose). The staff was very helpful and accommodated my requests well. This visit was my first use of the e-key feature and it worked very smoothly, combined with e-check-in I can see how it would be a boon if your arrival is at a busy time or after a tiring trip.

This Hampton Inn is part of a cluster of hotels near the end of the block on 35th with access to the Herald Square Subway station within a few feet of the door, which in turn connects to the 33 St. PATH, and is two blocks from Penn Station. We're talking the very middle of Midtown so getting to and from there to anywhere and getting around town is well taken care of, allowing for better enjoyment of a NY visit.

A good value and a great location near lots of great shopping and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The complimentary breakfast exceeded my expectations. I'm accustomed to seeing a plate of pastries with a glaze of high fructose corn syrup on each pastry. But, the breakfast offered two types of coffee, teas, oatmeal with toppings, waffles, protein bars, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereals and more.

Location is outstanding for this hotel. Across from Macys, right off subway. Service was great, everyone was helpful. It just wasnt thier night. Elevator was broken, water was restricted. It happens, stuff breaks, things need service, etc.
