If you haven't been to Europe, this will give you a feel for at least this part of it. Actually transported stone by stone.

“Great find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2012

I'm surprised that so few people I've spoken to who have been to - or even lived in - New York City have been to the Cloisters. It was a great find. You're already in the right frame of mind if you've been walking through beautiful Fort Tryon park to get there and the building and art within it are both stunning.

“Peaceful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2012

Visited the Cloisters museum in upper Manhattan this past weekend. It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The building is amazing and the Unicorn Tapestry is stunning. I am going back when the gardens are in fool bloom - though the lenten roses were blooming and the crocuses are starting to pop. Free parking right in front! Afterwards, we drove down to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (where we found parking on the street!). The admission covers both museums.
