My son loved the remote controled sailboats that are available for rental. U$S 11 for 30 minutes...but they actually let you play longer if no one is waiting.

During our last day in NY, we headed to Central Park. It was incredible, the features of the park, the trails, the beautiful landscape. The cold of the winter wasn`t an obstacle to spent a great time at the icerink with my wife and kids.

Central park is beautiful. We visited the John Lennon memorial. Right across the street is the Dakota Building.

We were in NY for 2 weeks so had plenty of time to spend in Central Park and got a chance to see most/all of it. Wouldn't bother renting a bike as most of the park you cannot take a bike on your only allowed by foot.

there's nothing like central park. the only other comparable city park is maybe golden gate park in san francisco, but IMO you can't beat the charm and overall atmosphere central park has to offer. with the zoo, the museums, the trails....it's just a huge oasis in the middle of the manhattan sprawl.

we rented bikes and circumnavigated the whole park. our kids thought it was the funnest thing we did in NYC. took about 2.5 hours to go all the way around with a few stops for running around, photos, and sightseeing along the way. the huge reservoir in the middle is absolutely gorgeous. devote at least an entire day to see the metropolitan museum of art (don't dare visit NYC without going there!). if you're a beatles fan, of course you must stop by strawberry fields.

there's something for everyone at central park young and old. even if you just find a nice peaceful spot to sit there and do nothing it's great.
