The food was flavorful, although the sirloin was quite fatty. Tiramisu was excellent. The cocktails were strong and delicious. The cucumber martini was too sweet and I requested it to be made again. The manager made sure I enjoyed the new version of the cocktail.

Greeting/Entrance

We entered and were greeted promptly by two staff members who asked our name and said they were ready for us. We were seated in the main dining area close to the huge chandelier which my longtime love enjoyed. Service is a rotating pleasant roster of waiters making sure you dont have to ask for anything.

Food/Wine
We started with a dozen oysters all plump, clean shells, and ice cold. The ample wine list has high/medium/ and low end wines for any budget as well as a full bar. The obligatory bread basket was ample and varied. I would recommend the onion rolls as they are quite tasty. On a side note, I am used to grabbing my own oysters off of the tray but the servers are so helpful and attentive spooned oysters onto our plates for us. Ok the main reason one visits a steakhouse is of course the meat. We ordered two rib steaks (rare, no need to kill it twice) with a side of creamed spinach. Both steaks (quite large) arrived perfectly prepared. Excellent salty crust with a perfect red medium warm center. Absolutely melt in your mouth consistency. Creamed spinach was good but the star of the meal was the steak.
We opted for the chocolate lava cake, which was acceptable as all you want after a steak meal is a good piece of chocolate.

Overall
An excellent mid priced steak house while not as notable as Peter Luger and Smith and Woll and some other NYC faves this place is a nice easy stress free steakhouse with excellent food and over the top service.

They got us table without a reservation close to 6 pm before the theatre rush. Food was great. Enjoyed the happy hour 1.50 oysters. Only one crab cake in the that app but very good. The bone in rib eye was thick and cooked perfectly and delicious. The sole and veal parmigiana were delicious. It's a la carte so it can get pricey. We ordered two veg sides and baked potato at additional cost. The service was good and the manager bought us a drink after the meal. The total cost was up there but not outrageous. I temper the cost with knowing this is in the theatre district at supper time. It was very enjoyable and I would return for sure.

This place was a few doors up from our hotel and had a board outside advertising Kobe burgers for $13 instead of $26 if eaten at the bar, which we thought sounded amazing value. So, as the interior looked really elegant & inviting, we went in at dinner time.

The scantily clad ladies behind the bar were very sweet but had trouble understanding english and it took several attempts to get my drink order right. We ordered two $13 burgers, paid an extra $3 for cheese, a beer and a peach schnapps and were dismayed when the bill came to over $50!

The burgers were small, very dry and accompanied by a tiny pot of ketchup, a lettuce leaf, pickle slice, onion ring and slice of tomato plus the most tasteless, cold fries and served on a boring, plain bun. We wished we hadn't bothered as there were so many better options nearby. If we had paid the full $26 for these burgers we would have sent them back!

Had dinner here with my husband a few days ago: medium quality food and terrible service. The waitresses dressed as if it was a night club. Some of the staff don’t speak English sufficiently enough. They wanted to take our plates while we had half of the food on, asking like: “are you still working on it guys?”. When I said that we were still eating, the waitress answered “no problem guys”. That was really rude. We had there a dinner with friends a year ago, which we enjoyed much. It seems that there is new staff who don’t understand how an elegant restaurant in New York City should look like. Never will go there again until they come back to the previous standards.
