French cuisine specializing in birds.
I have visited twice in a month and on both occasions I have been fascinated. We had the Brune Landaise roasted chicken which was tender and juicy. The whole bird was served with delicious pan juices, a very fresh green salad and irresistible French fries.
On another occasion we had the
whole roasted duck. It was cooked to perfection, flavorful and juicy.
The birds can feed 3 to 4 people, depending on your party's appetite. They also serve smaller portions of birds as well as soups, salads, terrines, foie, different egg dishes, some seafood - a very appealing menu.
The desserts are out of this world!
We have tried the mille feuille, Isle flotant and the chocolate profiteroles - can't wait to go back ;)

Went to celebrate s friend's birthday. There were 3 of us. Greeted warmly at reception and reservation time was honored on a Sunday at 7:00. Beautiful dining room with tables of different height. Some are high in the middle of dining room and some low-fat banquettes on perimeter. Nice menu with an assortment of chicken dishes. Also, inventive cocktail menu and expansive wine menu. We chose the chicken liver and duck fois gras appetizers to share. There are 5 chicken dishes for 4 ranging from $98 to $132. The waiter was helpful in making a choice. We chose a delicious guinea fowl and it easily fed the 3 of us. The chicken comes with a simple salad. And the bread is delicious. Each of us had a drink.....one of us had 2 drinks. We shared the profiteroles for dessert. The service is excellent. They do have a couple of non chicken dishes but the specialty is chicken so do not expect a wide variety of non chicken dishes. The tab for the 3 of us without a tip came to $250. Well worth it but at these prices it would be an occasional visit restaurant. Well worth a visit.

Exceptional food made using traditional french methods. It is all about poultry, and they do an excellent job. Had duck and really enjoyed it.

Prices seem a bit on the higher end, however, a lot of birds can be purchased and shared 3 or 4 ways.

Decor is exceptional (lots of bird themes all done in tasteful white shades) and the wine list, while not extensive, is well priced. The sommelier is particularly friendly for a higher-end French establishment. Definitley got the type of wine we wanted at the price point we were interested in.

How good can chicken be? I take eating out seriously, and my dinner at Le Coq RICO is going to live down among my 5 best ever. We ate at the counter near the kitchen, spoke to the chef throughout our meal and loved every morsel. Can't wait to go back.
