Traveling to Colorado to ski....ended up in Carlsbad in evening....needed a place to stay....everywhere was booked by that time with the exception of some accommodations over 300 per night which we were not willing to pay....Found this motel online....went there and found that the room was 106.... queen bed room for two....very nice young man at front desk very personable....room was in back area of motel.... it was very dated...it had a tv, shower and small refrig... towels and wash cloths were very poor quality.... no bath mat by shower/tub but the shower head was fine and there was plenty of hot water... AC/Heater worked ... bed was supported underneath the mattress some type of addition to the bed that made a noise every time you moved...(husband said it was probably just broken and they put a support in).... it was not bad but the bed linen was aged and the pillowcases were stained....I put two of my shirts over the pillow to sleep.... we left early in the morning so we did not eat the pastries in the lobby....overall we stayed there because we had little or no choice at that time of night....compared to other hotels in that area the price was reasonable but the accommodations were less than optimal....while I was relieved to find a place to sleep, I could only recommend this place if you have no other options....

Motel was clean, the free breakfast was not so good when we got there to eat they were out of coffee milk rolls etc it is very exspensive to stay in this little town due to the oil activity. Very close to Carlsbad caverns which is a must see.

First of all...you get what you pay for in a place like this. It's a "budget" hotel, so that's what you get. We needed a bed and a shower, so we were ok spending less and sacrificing the luxury. Although the room was clean for the most part, and had everything we needed for the night, it's not really a place I would choose if I was staying for more than one night. We got in late after staying in Carlsbad Caverns to watch the Bat Flight and the front desk reception area was locked. A sign on the door said to use the night window which was no big deal...a lot of places do that at night. This place was a little different. The window was blacked out so you couldn't see in. There was a speaker where a voice told us to pass our credit card and information through. Kind of weird not actually SEEING the person you are handing your credit card to. The room was "well used", but clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioner worked well. The shower worked, but the water sprayed all the way to the back wall without being able to be adjusted. We basically just slept and used the shower, so I'm not sure about the tv and such. But it all looked to be in very good shape. The pool, although we didn't use it, looked very nice! Well kept and very clean. They do not offer breakfast, but do have coffee and pre-packaged pastries in the lobby in the morning. For the price, compared to other places in the area, it was a decent deal. Worth the gamble if you're just looking for a short stay on a budget and willing to sacrifice the extras to save some money.

Dog friendly. Stagecoach Inn is in the center of town. Budget oriented for those who want a clean place to stay with no need for all the comforts of home - just an inexpensive stop-over while on the road. Nothing to brag about. We've stayed in the high end places with all the amenities and we've stayed in the dregs. This was fine, nothing special, but when you're on the road for weeks on end you have to watch the prices while still trying to be comfortable and clean.

Comfortable room with okay internet. Air conditioning and heat work well, a lot of television channels, friendly staff, and as a bonus: a good restaurant on-site with $10 senior plates with drink and salad included (shrimp and steak available, too). Nice pool and it has a small playground for the children.
