Really liked that we could spend time on the beach and have restrooms within walking distance. Well maintained beaches. Tide gets a little high.

Mediterranean climate at its' best .... in California. True coastal living, dinning, endorphin rush location!

We came here camping most major holidays. The weather is nice year round. The campsite is close to civilization. The beach WAS nice and sandy, emphasizing on the "was". This time when we are there, the beach is full of rocks. Extremely difficult to walk on the beach without twisting an ankle.
There are many nice restaurants near by. I highly recommend 101 Dinner about 5 miles south. Their egg Benedict are exceptional. Hubby loves their Crepe. A small restaurant, very busy. Go early to avoid the crowd. Ramen Factory opened recently. It's in the same shopping plaza as Ralph's. The noodle soup is tasty and price reasonable.

Too many rocks, too much seaweed with too many flies. Great if you want to surf; not so much if you want to relax and read a book. Parking limited.
