Let me start off by saying the value here was amazing for Gas Lamp in San Diego. In terms of location it is a perfect launching point for walking around Gas Lamp / Petco Park / etc., and is just a quick few blocks from the 5. The apartment had more than enough room for two couples plus our two year old who stayed in the provided pack-and-play. The building is very clean, has small workout room / cabana area, and the unit has a small deck that can fit four.
In terms of negatives the biggest issue we had was with road / street noise, even being up on the eighth floor. Weekends were worse, but it was still surprisingly loud hearing cars / sirens / bars letting out each night. I would highly recommend ear plugs and a white noise machine for anyone but the heaviest of sleepers. We had a few minor maintenance issues which we reported to Stay Alfred (running toilet, damaged blinds, etc.) so hopefully those will get resolved for future guests.
Parking in the connected garage maxes out at $15/day, which is great. If the garage is full you can go a block away to a $25/day lot. CVS is right across the street, and we made several trips there for groceries / wine / beer / etc.
Condo was perfect size, clean and well furnished. The location was in the Gaslamp District close to everything we needed.
very convenient and close to many attractions really well maintain and had everything needed for the stay
Everything as advertised, no hitches at all. Very short walk to anything in the Gaslamp, five minute drive to Seaport. It's a corner unit on the third floor, so you do get a bit of street noise, but overall it didn't detract from the cleanliness and convenience of the location. Also really liked the two bedrooms each with an attached full bathroom. Great place!
