Balboa park is amazing. This huge park in the middle of a large city offered a variety of attractions including an artist village, a live pipe organ concert, museums and is within walking distance to the zoo.

Why not visit? The Society has interesting displays (free) and then museum quality jewelry to admire (for purchase). It's a nice spot to get off the foot traffic from Balboa Park.

I did not like this park. Took it as part of hop on hop off tour.the park was confusing. I did not enjoy it but maybe I just did not know what I was doing.

Spent an entire afternoon there, nice walking trails, great architecture and a fantastic collection of museums for all interests. A true jewel in the middle of the city.

We visited this place many times with our grandchildren and they enjoyed the park and the museums. Its best to take time to teach the children and explain as there are also other groups touring the museums.
