The taj is without a doubt a beautiful hotel in the best possible location in Boston, but is definitely missing something to make it the best. The staff although friendly is lazy. The door is never opened and we had to carry our shopping bags when we got out of the car. The room service was atrocious. I have to give the breakfast credit, it had the best food I have ever had and the eggs benedict were holy. The rooms need an urgent technological renovation. the phones and the bathrooms are old. You wouldn't expect this from a LHW (leading hotels in the world) hotel. We were staying at a junior suite with a spectacular fire place. It is a shame that the rooms were outdated, it ruins the whole illusion of perfection.
It is a great hotel but it just didn't live up to our expectations.More
