“Convenient location & nice rooms”
Reviewed 24 February 2012

We'll definitely be coming back to this hotel. It's within walking distance of so many restaurants and shopping making it a perfect home base. The staff are helpful and attentive. The rooms are a nice size so you don't feel cramped. Drinks at the bar are ridiculously priced, but with so many other options nearby it's not a problem. Some might not like the sliding (opaque) window between the bedroom and bathroom area, but we didn't find it to be an issue.

We appreciate you sharing your experience at our hotel. We’re glad that you had a exceptional visit to our property and that you were pleased with the size of your room and bathroom. As you experienced, we do offer one of the most generous sized standard hotel rooms in Boston at approximately 430 sq. ft.! Service and location are two aspects we take pride in and it is great you enjoyed both of these. Several sites unique to Boston, such as Faneuil Hall and the New England Aquarium, are just short walking distances away. Next time you visit be sure to stop by our concierge desk for all the in the know tips on Boston’s attractions. We try to ensure that each guest’s visit is never their last and it is great to hear we will be welcoming you back in the future.

The weekend of February 18th,2012 we stayed at the Intercontinental in Boston. From the minute we pulled up everything was taken care of. The parking staff took our bags and brought them to the bell hop who waited till we tended to a few details. Elizabeth at the front desk listened intently as we expressed our desires. She had everything under control. Next we stopped at the concierge desk and were assisted by Luis Branco. He couldnt do enough for us. He made dinner reservations at a restaurant for us. When we got to the restaurant we were provided with dessert on the house compliments of Luis and the hotel. To make matters even more enjoyable ...our names were printed on the menu welcoming us to the restaurant. Dinner was lovely. Our hotel room was perfect overlooking where the Boston Tea party occured. The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. Large bathroom. The entire staff no mater what their position, were very friendly. Always greeting us with a hello. The next morning we had invited some friends of ours for brunch. Again the the staff were wonderful and the food was terrific. All unique and delicious. I would recommend the Intercontinental to everyone ! I am only sorry I had not sent my daughter here when she had visited Boston. As for location it is just a few blocks from many of the important sites. Nice safe area.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. It is wonderful to hear you had such an unforgettable stay. Our staff truly tries exceed our guests’ expectations from start to finish and we will share your praise with our team. Location is a major part of our appeal and we know how important concierge knowledge is to our guests. Our concierge has great “in the know” tips about the Boston area and can give you even more recommendations next time you visit. Our Miel Chef de Cuisine David Chinta was thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your brunch experience in our restaurant. Miel ‘Brasserie Provençale’ celebrates the flavors of Southern France with delicious cuisine. Next time you visit, be sure to try our other restaurants & bars, Sushi-Teq and RumBa. RumBa, our sassy rum-themed bar serving international distilled rums, appetizers, and mixes of Latin and Caribbean music. Also in our lobby, East meets West at Sushi-Teq, our chic salsa bar pairing sushi with vintage tequila. We are trilled to hear you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back soon.

My wife and I stayed at the Intercontinental in Boston on saturday night for a night out away from the children. We had an absolutely great experience from booking through checkout. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, the room was everything we expected. We were located on the 6th floor looking out at the children's museum, a higher floor would have been even better, but we got a great rate on the room so I'm not going to complain. The location was perfect, a short walk to Fanieul Hall and the North End. I'd definitely stay here again!

Stayed here while visiting family in the Boston area. I had never been to Boston before and wanted to be close to the "action".

We were in walking distance to many attractions. We ate in a lovely restaurant in Boston's Little Italy. We walking around for hours, enjoying the shops and the whole feel of Boston. We were able to soak up a lot of the history of Boston.

The hotel itself was clean and beautifully decorated. It is located on the actual spot where the Boston Tea Party took place.

In all, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely stay here again.

Our convenient waterfront location is one of the main reasons visitors choose to stay with us. We are within walking distance to famous Boston attractions such as Faneuil Hall and the North End. Not only are we close to the subway, but during the warmer months the water taxi is a fantastic way of transportation to and from the airport that many guests do not know about. With a dock right behind our hotel it is convenient and a great way to tour the Boston waterfront during your ride. As you mentioned, our hotel sits on the exact site of the Boston Tea Party and next time you visit, be sure to explore The Tea Party Museum, opening in 2012 right on the Fort Point Channel behind our hotel, and you will be able to experience the history steep in our hotel. It is wonderful to hear from guests who truly enjoyed their stay with us and we hope to see you again soon. Thank you for posting your review.
