Looked thru reviews. Decided to give it a try. Ordered Sal special and Greek salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. Worth the walk! Yum!

We stopped at Sal's because it was conveniently located across from Boston Commons and we were sightseeing along the Freedom Trail. We had just been to the visitor's center near by. First thing we noticed, even though it was close to 90 degrees outside I think it was nicer outside than it was inside of Sal's. Once inside we noticed they had a large selection of pizza.

I got the meat lover's and my wife got a slice of tomato and spinach. We both enjoyed what we had. The slices are large and actually cut in half making them easier to eat. They have thin crust slices and were not chintzy with toppings that were plenty flavorful. While I enjoyed the meat lovers I had I think the tomato and spinach my wife had was even better. We also had a garlic knot that was very good. The day we were there they did not have any diet soda in the coolers, so I got water. But they appeared to have a pretty good selection of bottled drinks.

Inside there aren't tables to sit and eat, but there are counters where you can stand if you want. We took ours to go and walked back to the picnic area in the Commons across the street.

After 6+ hours of hiking around the city, we just wanted to head back to the hotel and rest. Decided to stop by Sal’s for a couple slices of pizza (meat lovers & pepperoni/pineapple/jalapeño) and a couple freshly made cannoli. Everything was so good - the perfect easy meal after a long day of sightseeing.

We stepped in here because it was so convenient to the tour we were taking at the Boston Common area. The Boston visitors bureau was just across the street. When you walk in, there are glass shelves with lots of pizzas prepared. You can order a whole pizza or buy it by the slice. The slices are huge--a quarter of a pizza. We ordered 2 slices--one with pepperoni and the other with pepperoni, onions, and peppers. There were 2 adults and our son. This was enough pizza for us. However, there is no seating. You stand by the window and sit your pizza on a small counter that runs the length of the front large window. Also, no bathrooms. This made is a different kind of restaurant, but the food was delicious.

Great spot conveniently located off of Boston Common near the visitor's center and the Park St. T stop. It was the perfect place for a quick bite to eat for our large group, and the service was very speedy. They have pizza by the slice and salads if you want something a little lighter. You can also order full-size pizzas. They had a wide array of pizza options to satisfy a range of tastes.
