While we tend to mix things up, it's easy to say B&G is the default stop after theater at Calderwood. Oysters and clams are always a must. They typically have a good variety to choose from and are always tasty. Since its.after the theater, we tend to stay towards the apps or chowder. All are excellent. The handful of times we have tried entries I have not been disappointed. We've visited at least 10 times and all 10 were great.

The place is really loud and there is an open kitchen. We were near the frying side of the kitchen so at the end of the evening our clothes smelled really bad.
Entrees were quick to arrive but then we had to wait a long time for our main dishes. We were in a corner of the restaurant so the waiters forgot about us a few times, not collecting the empty plates and not refilling the glasses with water.
Food was nothing special and prices were high for the quality/service.

I wouldn’t go back again.

We had a team meeting in Boston and had lunch in this restaurant. The restaurant has a great little garden in the back. Was ideal for us. The quality of the food and service is really good. Oysters fantastic. But, the size of the portions are really way way too big. In times of the number of obese people growing, restaurants should have normal size portions. The portions in the restaurant were not ok. If you like that, go for it!

What a great find in the South end of Boston. Cozy and quaint space with a cute patio out back. We dined on a Saturday evening and had to wait about 35 minutes for a table but went next-door for a glass of wine and they texted when space was available. We got seated at the bar which was perfect because we could watch the chefs work. First course was six fresh Maine oysters and a bowl of clam chowder. Main meal was the fresh catch of the day, crispy whole branzino , perfection. One of the best meals we’ve had in a while!

Had dinner at this restaurant, after seeing how high their ratings are on TripAdvisor. I am not disappointed! The oyster selection is good and very fresh, though on the smaller side (I tried all 10 types). The fried peppers were quite interesting. The lobster bisque was quite tasty and the lobster roll is very good, a good ratio of thin soft bread with big chunks of lobster. Highly recommended!!!
