My wife and I arrived for our Boston stay at the Godfrey Hotel, which is attached to Ruka, and were told no reservations were available. We walked over and were nicely greeted and seated! We were initially leery but curious about the Peruvian Japanese twist to the menu, but were not disappointed. Our wait person was engaging and well informed. Our dishes were a nice mix of warm and cold, with interesting sushi, and their lobster macaroni and cheese was outstanding! Drinks were generous and tasty, particularly the Gordon Gekko. A bit pricey but all and all a different and enjoyable meal.

Pricey with some good dishes, more nah dishes. Most items have some spice.

Good news is as a sushi restaurant, their rolls are great. There seems to be a great variety as well, and if I were to return it would be to try more. Note though that not all of their sushi are rolls--one of them is spicy tuna mixed with quinoa into a patty, and that was not good. Too little tuna relative to other ingredients.

The hot dishes were big misses. The fried chicken was good (but honestly, you'd have to be a poor restaurant to mess up fried chicken), however the ribeye, while a massive portion in combination with other ingredients, was a big miss. The meat did not have good flavor and the other ingredients (like sweet potato chips) were not complementary at all. Frankly their hot mains seemed confused and disorganized. While I understand it's a fusion restaurant, ingredients should still meld together and build on each other.

Very interesting and tasty asian fusion dishes. Drinks are also intriguing but along with many items are a bit pricey. Enjoyed the lobster mac n cheese with its miso inspired sauce. Service was attentive and the manager came over to insure we were happy. Tables are placed close together which became a problem when a diner was seated next to us who had a rather offensive odor. Fortunately we were at the end of our meal or would have asked to be reseated,

Excellent food, warm & professional service. For cocktails we ordered Beatrix Kiddo (outstanding) and Gordon Gekko. For dinner - Hamachi Amarillo, Blackened Octopus (absolutely outstanding), Char Sui chicken (outstanding) and Hamachi Ceviche. Highly recommended!
Linh gave us excellent service.
Will definately return.

This is a place for the adventurous. Our server, Ryan was very helpful with our selections since the menu can be hard to decipher. Standouts: oysters chalaca, torched dynamite lobster, Phoenix sunrise, octopus anti, wagyu bavette.
